We are a broad-based, nonpartisan coalition formed to oppose CI-100. Our members include Montanans who care about women’s health, protecting the ability for women and providers to make personal decisions and preserving Montana’s values and Constitutional freedoms.
Our organization opposes the proposed constitutional amendment (CI-100) referred to as the Fetal Personhood Amendment that would redefine "personhood" to include all stages of human development or life, including the state of fertilization, regardless of age, health, level of functioning, or condition of dependency. The amendment would grant “a paramount and fundamental right to life.”
Passage of this amendment would undermine medical decision-making for pregnant women and health care providers, which often must be done quickly and under terrific stress
